Greetings from the Void and welcome to our first DevLog!

We're super excited to share with you our progress so far (and we've made a lot)! Chronicles of Vyldomar is coming along perfectly and there's quite a bit to show, so let's get straight to it!

Mob AI! Initially, the AI was controlled entirely in script. But we recently switched over to using Behavior Trees thanks to LimboAI! This has made programming the AI much easier as well as making some serious room for more dynamic AI. These skeletons are a little lonely for the time being, but soon there will be many more mobs for you to encounter in Vyldomar!

Currently, the skeletons just wander around. Sometimes they'll take a small break, unless you hit them that is. If you interrupt their quiet moments of reflection, they snap into a chase! Don't worry though, they just awkwardly hug you until you cut them down with your trusty blade. Speaking of which...

Dynamic health bars! As you can see, they don't stay just one color! As a mob's health drops lower, the health bar turns from a bright green to brownish color, making combat feel far more immersive. When you deal the final blow, the bar disappears and the mob's nametag will turn grey to indicate your foe is fallen. If you get lucky, they'll even drop some loot

This one didn't put up too much of a fight honestly, so him dropping some loot was just icing on the cake! Whenever a mob is unfortunate enough to cross your path, they'll sometimes drop some loot for you to pry off their cold dead hands, indicated by a pretty lil sparkle effect! Let's see what he dropped, shall we?

Well seems like he just dropped a weak, basic sword. But hey, nothing wrong with having an extra! Let's go see how it looks in our inventory!

Wonderful! Perfect reward if you ask me. But there's something extra in this screenshot: a settings menu! Not much to toy with yet, but eventually there will be plenty of customization! In the "Controls" menu shown there, you can change the key bindings for all the different actions you can perform on your adventures, so you can tweak every action to your heart's content.
