Devlog 2 - making progress :D

Hi guys how's it going :) I'm developing a multiplayer real-time strategy game where you collect resources, build structures and destroy your enemy's castle.

Progress since the last devlog in the article :o


devlog 2 (btw i'm not that experienced in game dev)

- resources counter/inventory at the top left of your screen

- your resources counter has an outline and the color is your team's color

- added prices to the shop/build gui

- when you right click your own castle you get the option to recruit workers, warriors or archers

- when you right click other people's castles you get the options to declare war, send an alliance request or trade

- added a main menu with settings (don't really know what kind of settings to add guys help me out here xD)

there isn't much functionality yet but i'm planning on developing the functionality alongside multiplayer :/

Here's the game's progress in its first 48 hours of development :D

- a basic map

- custom cursor

- map boundaries

- you can move around the map with middle click

- an indicator that shows where you've left clicked

- a very basic shop gui

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
