Happy Friday!

It's another cold one in the Southern Hemisphere today, but our local temperatures should increase over the next few days to a more comfortable cold, rather than the current icy cold. My shrimp tanks (and my electricity bill) will be glad.

Just a heads up: I have one, maybe two more weekly devlogs before the newest addition to our family is born. I think I've blocked out most of the trauma from the first one (Trauma being sleepless nights and all that jazz), and there is a good chance that I'll be MIA for a bit. I'll continue working on Infinite Stars, though, as I do find it genuinely enjoyable.

Talking of Infinite Stars, we're getting close to wrapping up and starting on coding the monstrous new scene for Matthias. Personally, I'm aiming to have it be released before the end of this month. (And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for the meddling kids!) I think it's still doable, but I am giving myself some grace.

The story continuation content is also coming along bit by bit. Since inception, I've always wanted a system where your MC can 'adopt' a small colony and influence the well-being of all the souls living there, for good or for bad. The last bit of Episode 4 will finally allow me to do so! I'm very excited for it.

Tae has been drawing the ten new crew members created by your fellow community members from the promotion we had last year, and she is also working on two new Patreon portraits. (If you're a paying patron, I appreciate you so much. Your support allows me to physically continue working on Infinite Stars, a project I love dearly.)

If you've been joining any of the recent live streams on Discord, you should have seen the new comms station background that Stoffies has been working on. If you haven't, you are welcome to join the Discord and hop in on any of the streams as and when they happen. Anyone is welcome. The comms station is where Reyna will be found most of the time.

We've also been planning and messing around with concepts for the upcoming toxic yuri game jam, and I'm sort of, kind of very excited for it. As always, we use these game jams to try new concepts and ideas like the text-heavy interface we tried with Thalassaphilia (which has recently been taken off the shelf, with new backgrounds being done for it) and the mobile-first UI we tried for Unclaimed. Or the comicbook aesthetic we're using for the yet unreleased Project Syndicate. For the toxic yuri jam, we're exploring deeply flawed, terrible characters with a very distinct writing style.

Other than that, my time is mostly consumed with getting everything ready for the new arrival, getting work structured in such a way that everything doesn't explode while I'm gone, and stressing about all of it, as one does.

I wish all of you a pleasant weekend. Be safe, be kind and thanks for being a part of my journey. <3

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
