HIIIIII!!!!!!!!!
okay, you haven't heard from me yet, so let me introduce myself.
i'm dustedsylvia!!! this game's main coder. so you can probably to expect to hear from me a couple more times before the game's release. theres a couple things i have to say right now, though:
first, thanks @TheRealKetchupsans_2009
so much for letting me work on his game. its been so fun!!!
secondly (and what you probably care about ;-;), the progress of the game:
*** menus / settings / credits: 99% completed ***
i say 99% because you never know what will be updated in the future. but everything in the settings and menus is fully functional.

*** cutscenes: 67% completed ***
the intro cutscenes are mostly done, the necroptosis cutscene is...in progress.
*** overworld: 85% completed ***
the overworld engine is completely finished. that is, until i find a bug that needs fixing. all of the rooms up to necroptosis are complete! after that no work has been done. but yeah.

*** necroptosis: 20% completed ***
the starting cutscene and the first bit of the fight are finished. it'll probably be finished (by the latest) in a couple weeks.
dont, um, quote me on that.
the battle engine is 100% finished, though!!!! all i have to do is recreate the attacks.
...and fix some collision bugs

*** total game completion: around 70% ***
its fairly difficult to put a quantity on how much the game is finished. but honestly its all coming together!!!
and lastly: the game is 100% open source!!!
