Devlog Update 2 - UCN: REM EDITION

Sorry for the delay! I've been very busy with personal matters lately, but I've finally been able to get back to the project. This time, I truly feel that the release of v1 is finally within reach.

Here are some of the things I can highlight since the last update:

  • All offices have been added and completed. As far as office-related content goes, everything is now finished. [All images?]

  • The animatronics from FNAF 1 through FNAF 3 have all been added. I've focused on making their movement faithful to the original UCN as possible, although I've allowed myself to add a few extra visuals details to some of them.

  • The pause menu has been fully implemented. It's really just a very basic pause menu, so there's not much to talk about. [Image 2]

  • The settings menu is now complete and works perfectly. However, I'm still not entirely satisfied with how it looks, so I'll probably make some visuals and maybe functional improvements in a future update. I'll attach an image of its current appearance (heavily inspired by the settings menu from the console versions of FNAF). [Image 3]

  • The animatronic death quotes have been implemented, along with a small text box that works as subtitles in case you want to read what they're saying.

  • There are also some additions (audio system, shader loading, languages, etc.) that feel a bit too technical to deserve their own section, but I think they're still important enough to be worth mentioning.

Progress has been surprisingly fast over these last 4 days, which is exciting. However, I still need to finish the remaining animatronics and do some additional optimization so the game can run 1% bit better.

I hope this update has helped keep alive the small flame of hope that this project will finally become a reality, and that you haven't given up on it yet. I also hope to start posting devlogs more frequently from now on.

See you next time! (hopefully soon...)
