Disclaimer btw, you may not see true 2.0 blocks like the ones I've been showing for a WHILE. All of this has been experimental and I need to decide how I want to implement them internally.

In case you need your heart broken, there's evidence to suggest Scratch Team were seriously considering allowing blocks to placed inside of variable dropdowns.

Evidently, that fell through. Something didn't work.

In Portuguese, the translators decided that uppercasing all of the hat blocks would be their sin of the day.

So I can say for certain that Scratch 4.0 will depend on modern Blockly, which for now is being held together by the old GUI code from 3.0
