I don't remember if I've shared this already or not.
The plan for the games layout will basically be this:
There will be 3 areas in the game. (Originally it was 4, but I have to scale back if I ever want to finish this)
Each area will be separated into 2 "stages".
These "stages" are linked between each other via "shrines".
The main goal of the game is to activate these shrines. Get through the stages, to reach the shrines. Similar to most typical platformers

However, throughout each stage, there are 3 hidden gemstones. If you collect all 3, the shrine will reveal the entrance to a labyrinth.
Labyrinths will hold challenging puzzles and obstacles for you to conquer, they will be technically optional, but required for a "true" ending.

The reason I'm explaining this is that the whole system I just described is what I'm currently working on. I believe I'm just about finished with it, but there's still a bit of work to do.
Once this is finished, I'll consider preparing a demo for the Godot build. I really want to just release everything as one big finished "Pilot". But it's been a very long time since I've updated anything, so I feel i should provide something at this point. I would like to introduce the other characters at the very least, as they've not been involved at all yet.
If i do release a demo, the demo will contain the beta stage, and a second stage connected to it, and a mini labyrinth with an unlockable.
I'm probably going to do some more articles like this in the near future explaini some other subjects. So stay tuned!
Until then, thanks for reading, and enjoy the summer! \/ \/ \/
