It’s about time we brought to your attention one of the most insane gangs of them all in our new At the Heart of Ruin DLC, who call themselves the Cleansing Conflagration. This band of murderers and pyromaniacs are just as likely to lob fiery projectiles your way as they are to parley, so if you're a vagrus who relies on persuasion to get what you want, you’ll not find these madmen particularly amenable.

Did we mention that they like to burn themselves and others in eldritch and terrifying rituals to the living flame they are devoted to? No? Well, as a vagrus navigating the perils of Vanrurud, this little tidbit may save you a great deal of anguish or pain; or, it might serve as a piece of foreshadowing for what is to come.

Questions might emerge: why do they commit these acts? What are their goals? What sort of deified flame do they worship?

To find out, you’ll have to see for yourself – though we don’t recommend finding them in their lair. Such a place is, shall we say, not a home of conversation and hospitality.
