Does anyone know what's causing this lighting bug in the model?

The shading should be flat, but instead it's darker. This appears in solid/materials as well as rendered.

I've been working around it by knifing the sections that are darker so far

Some other details about the model, I split part of the model into a new object, and then changed it's material and rejoined them into one object.

So I'm wondering if maybe that's been making it act funny.

I'm pretty new to modeling, so any help or advice in this would be greatly appreciated

There also aren't any shading effects on this. The materials are set to "node" but I haven't messed with it or added any textures or bumpmaps.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
