My concept for the battle system involves the Rat King commanding other rats to attack the player on his behalf; although there have been very minor tweaks, he still operates this way.
The battle mechanics against the "Rat King" are divided into three phases or three attacks: two for the King and one for the player.
I had already announced the King's attacks: the "Rodent Corridor" and the "Tail Wind" (not CSS).
The "Rodent Corridor" is an attack where a swarm of rats gathers to dash through the air from one side of the battlefield to the other; they always appear in the corridor where the player is currently located, alternating between the left and right sides. The attack begins with a wall of rats forming, followed by the swarm shooting across; if they make contact with the player, the player dies.

"Tail Wind" is an attack executed by the Rat King himself. In earlier versions of the concept, this was the first attack and could come from above or the sides, but now it only comes from below. After the "Rodent Corridor" fails to finish off the player, the Rat King plunges his tail into the ground and raises it using his wind power against the player. The tail is programmed to appear in the direction the player is moving; if the player is standing still, it appears at their exact location. It first emerges with small wind particles and the tip touching the ground, then suddenly shoots upward to strike the player and reduce them to a cloud of particles.

Now, about the player, if they survive the corridor, they are subjected to a relentless tail-wind attack. However, a button becomes accessible on the upper platform; pressing it causes a crushing wall to descend upon the Rat King, injuring him and halting the tail-wind. This triggers the next phase of the battle, where attacks become more intense. If the player clears all three phases, they can retrieve the card held by the Rat King and complete the game.

I think that wraps up the explanation of the battle system against the Rat King.
The only thing missing is an image of the card, but for that, I need the King's full animation. So... see ya!
