Another day, another step closer to At the Heart of Ruin’s release date, October 22. And of course, another teaser. Today’s fare showcases largely avoided territory deep beneath the ruined Dwarven city of Dum Garok. It is a territory where few tread and from which even fewer return.
But whose territory is it?
The Crawling Underbelly, as it’s come to be called, was once a mine rich in iron and copper ore – now it is a tomb for even the bravest of treasure hunters. The long-abandoned shafts and dark, cavernous tunnels are infested with arachnids top to bottom; some say there are millions of them.
Worst still are the deepest depths below the mine: none have or ever shall see sunlight, yet something unspeakable makes its lair down there – a creature that is only referred to as the Dweller in the Dark by Varnurud’s locals. But what is this creature? Who can say if it even exists when nobody has ever returned from the ultimate depths to tell the tale?
If you dare, you’ll find out in our expansion, which is on the verge of dropping! October 22, mark your calendars! Until then, stay safe, stay awesome, and conquer the wasteland!
