Hello and thanks for the currently 8 followers and 32 downloads. :-)
I’ve never had this many when it comes to games, so it’s a milestone for me.
I hope you guys enjoyed the game, and got the two endings.
Here’s a little insight in how I made the art for the game.
First I drew the drawings in hand on small 1:1 sheets of sketching paper, a little bigger than some post-it notes. This gave me less paper to work with, which is an advantage in this case, as it’s much less time consuming, which in turn allows me to be more detailed in my drawings.
After that, the drawings got scanned and ‘auto-enhanced’ in Pixelmator (It’s not Photoshop, but it’s enough for me).
Then it was time for the coloring, so I made a new layer and set it behind the drawing layer, while the drawing layer was set to ‘multiply’. ‘Multiply’ keeps only the dark tones of the pictures and keys out the lighter tones. Thereby my pencilstrokes are visible, while the whitespace is transparent.
I kept the coloring very simple, because “LOOK AT THE TIME!!!” and because the drawings are very messy and rough. A realistic coloring would be too timeconsuming and confuse the eye even more. Plus it looks neat and unique.
Combining both layers gives you the final result:
