Hi everyone!
As you may have seen, I've been working pretty hard on FF:TAO for the past few weeks! So, I thought I would give you some info about where I am in the development.
Just to you have a global idea, here are some figures:
Game mechanics: ~85%
Renders: ~45%
Jumpscares: ~5%
Animatronics AI: ~45%
Phonecalls : ~10% (I want to rewrite them)
More details:
For the renders, I could try to separate everything into different files, but that'll still take a long time. My new PC should arrive around August 3rd, so worst case scenario renders and jumpscares will wait 'till August. For now I'm working on everything else, so the game progresses!
Animatronic AI is going well, I'm succeeding in bringing my ideas into the game I'm just overworking myself a bit right now, I'm trying to go a bit slower to take somewhat of a break
When everything is done, I'll do much playtesting to make sure the game is not insanely hard or poorly explained.
I'm also thinking about working on a trailer for the game, I'll keep you updated if anything comes around!
Last thing, about release. Due to the amount of placeholders currently in the game, I don't really wanna release a demo where half the renders are pink rectangles with text on it
I would really like to release the game this summer, but I'm no sure I'll be able to do it. So, the best release date I can give you is Fall 2021! I'll try my best to stick to it O:)
