Feedback and path forward

I’ve received a lot of great feedback about ZRD, thanks all that have tried it out… if you haven’t get it a whirl! Anyways… one of the biggest pieces of feedback I’ve received is negative experiences in new players coming to the game is, how the camera operates.

I actually had some issues controlling the camera initially, but got used to it, and liked it… some others don’t… and I can see this being a point of frustration to new users, so I am working on implementing a smooth auto follow camera, that will allow you to automatically follow a selected defender.

I will also be creating an interface element to allow you to select a defender in the building, and it will automatically move the camera, to the defender in question.

Beyond this, there is a bit of confusion on how to use the weapon - actually had pondered this previously, and have decided to make it a bit simpler for the user. The user will be able to equip weapons, and weapons will come loaded with a specific amount of ammo. Once that ammo is gone, the defender will lower the weapon, and be idle until the ammo is filled again, and will enter a shooting state when he/she comes to idle, be able to come out of that state by moving, instead of having to press up/down to enter shooting mode/etc.

After the above changes are made, I will move on to implementing more features to the base game… the first being, more weapons, and traps!
