Finally updated KatzenKlein!

I have finally updated KatzenKlein 3D (YAY!)

Things added to version 1.01:

-A pause and unpause option
-Sound problem fixed (mostly) on firefox browsers.
-Rewrote screen scaling code for Firefox fullscreen.
-fixed the loading screen.
-The player doesn’t stare at walls when a new level is loaded anymore.
-Crosshair added to help with aiming.

I was going to add auto weapon changing, but I would of had to rewrite all the gun states… so I decided against it (sorry… I’m lazy).

Another thing that I actually tried was adding the option to use either W and S or UP and Down for movement, but I had to remove it since if you hit Ctrl and W at the same time, the window would close… It turns out there’s a few keys and key combinations you have to avoid when coding a HTML5 game… There might be a way around it, but I’m okay with the current setup.

Thanks for reading and any feedback would be appreciated.

A digital painting in Krita

A short animation to test out a new tablet.

A spinning Kitty skull... because my Doom clone has kitties as the enemies. I think I'll probably touch it up a bit, but I think it works for an options select icon for now. Made in LibreSprite and Krita.

I FINALLY finished my current game :D https://gamejolt.com/games/KatzenKlein_Redux/909441 It's a free retro FPS about evil kitties for Windows and Linux. It runs on a custom engine, so I'd be very interested if you have any issues running the game. #FPS #action #retro #kitties

I've been trying to pull my current project together into a playable demo, so I added the title screen, menus and a text display for the HUD. Still a lot to do, but it's starting to look like an actual game.

A spaghetti-girl. Made in Krita.

A post I recently saw made me think about digital brushes that imitate traditional mediums, so here's two slides I made a li'l while ago for a devlog using Krita's built-in traditional brushes. It was sort of like using very high pigment acrylic.

I finally got a graphics tablet with a monitor and here is my first scribble. It was fun, but I still need more practice.

Finally getting back into coding after a big break.

Still not very good at dev vlogs, but still giving it a go.

I've been working on a remake of KatzenKlein 3D. https://youtu.be/UKnVjHzLigs?si=5YwFGMXgNKoBXc8c

I decided to play around with OpenToonz motion tweening and ended up animating a flamingo.
