Why Early Access?
“Baby Dino Adventures is the platformer game I always wanted to create. I do like its current state a lot, but I believe that having a community to help me out would be even better to shape its final version. I have so many ideas I wish to implement, and would love to get your support to help me decide what to work on next.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“I plan to keep the game in Early Access for a minimum of one year, and see at that time how its development goes so far. My best calculation is to leave the Early Access after 2 years.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“I will add a couple more environments to the game with more level variations, game mechanics, puzzles, characters, and probably a few bosses also. The full version will also include more dialog, and will be story-driven. I guess you want to know if Baby Dino will find his family back, don't you?”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The current version of the game can be seen as a closed beta version of development.
This means that the actual version of the game will probably have some glitches, annoying bugs, and other frustration!
I will do my best to bring quick support and fixes to avoid such things.
All features written below have been implemented already:
The two first environments: Forest, and Beach
20 unique levels
1 boss
8 friendly NPCs to meet
Enemies like chestnuts, bees, pea plants, crabs, seagulls, coconuts, monkeys, etc
A few obstacles like spikes, moving platforms, explosive crates, wood traps, waterfalls, etc
A few collectibles like steaks, dino eggs, and crates
A few more cute stuff”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“I'm still figuring out what the best launch price would be. The price may increase before the end of Early Access as I will add more content to the the game. I will do my best to find a good balance between a fair price and what I think the game is worth.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“I like to discuss about the game with my community through different ways like Discord, Twitter, Instagram, and a few more. I often ask for feedback and advice. I like to listen to my community. Gather feedback, and add new content based on their ideas. This game would never have been possible without the help of people.
