First Update


First of all I want to say thanks to everyone that follows and rate the game I really appreciate it. I posted a test build of my game 10 days ago and I feel It’s time to let you know the progress I made on it since then.

Actually I’m working in a customization feature that will allow you to change the clothes of Allisa (Main character). For now it’s just an aesthetic feature that I like in games but I’m considering it to influence the gameplay in the future. This feature is taking a while to implement because I’m the only person working on the game but it’s almost finished. here take a look of the progress.

I’m also working in some aesthetic elements of the RPG part, a shop to buy clothes and where to put some easter eggs.

I feel this is not enough progress to upload a new test build of the game so when I finish this feature I’m going to start working on a Stat system for the “platform part” to make it more interesting because this plus the random generated power ups will allow you to have a different experience even if you have to raplay a level. Also It gives you the option to build the stats of the character as you want and here’s where I’m considering that the clothes you are wearing when entering to the platform part will increase some stats.

When I finish working on what I said above I will upload a new test build so I can receive feedback ^_^

I still have some features that I want to implement before start working on content and serious level design for the game but I will talk about them in another update.

Next up

1st Digital prototype... almost finished.. due to "The genius" that crashed into an electricity pole near the office and I had to work on the prototype until 1 am :). Shooting is the only thing missing (Dash, aim + ray cast done). Will share it this week

The prototypes build is ready and I was preparing a video for that post but I got a call today for a meeting tomorrow and I have to prepare some info TT_TT ... I'll post it tomorrow !

After doing some play-testing at the office, I concluded the following: - The shooting prototype will feel better with normal shooter movement. - The "Moral system" is engaging but needs more options. - 3rd person view feels good for exploration.

Quick note: - I had an issue with animations but it got solved. (For prototyping) - I just delivered a project for a client. I'm working on a boring but useful app for another client. I won't be able to post frequently (gotta pay the bills). #shooter

Paper prototype for the Leveling system based on a moral one finished! Unfortunately I can't share it since it is on paper, but tomorrow I'll start working on the digital one for the shooting part and if there is time this week I'll include this one on it

Lack of updates due to: - An event. (Pics) - Signed a contract to develop an app (ends July). 2 more apps in the queue - Improving and porting Void in the Sky (https://gamejolt.com/games/void-in-the-sky/406864) for PC and ??? (requires less time) - Still working on Soul Update

Instead of using the 3D model of a future game of mine (Last gif) I'll use this placeholder (more personalized) that shows the feel I'm trying to communicate in the game. I tried VRoid for 1 1/2 hour and I think I can use this model for prototypes

We are going from left to right. Why? the answer soon. (Don't you think that peeking ear is cute? ) - Limitations: I have to deliver 2 non-game related projects so I'm doing progress but slowly, I work on parts that help me relieve stress from work.

Today I tweaked a little bit the face (Pic 1) and tested a few animations (gif). I was in an event from work so I couldn't progress that much but I want to have a better prototype build before February ends. See you soon! #shooter #anime

I just finished the shooting part. I'll try upload this prototype and the paper one I did so I can receive feedback early. This are gameplay prototypes which means: It should feel engaging even with placeholders. Aesthetics come after it feels fun.
