Fixes and Phantoms Build (V 0.6.0) is live!

fixes_and_phantoms.png

Man, it's been awhile since I had the chance to do a proper update release, but here we are.

(Also realized last second that I skipped over 0.5.0 as an option, so future updates may have to get packed with content. Whoops.)

Anyways, there's a lot of big fixes to the core mechanics, as well as some new stuff on top of it!

New Content:

-4 new characters can now be added to your party: Phantom Freddy, Phantom Chica, Phantom Foxy and Withered Chica!

-4 new skills can now be used: Sludge, Rainy Day, Toxic Bite, and Prize Ball 2*!

-To fix the battle encounters, four new enemies can be encountered in Lilygear Lake: Seaweed, Crabapple, Colossal, and R3CYC73D

-Random button has been added to Party Select frame! Who needs strategy?

-New option to adjust Loading Screen delay, for easier viewing of...

-Original flair text for Loading Screen characters has been added!*

*Prize Ball 2 requires additional work to complete the list of potential skill casts, and as such will use less options in it's current state.

**Flairs may be shown for characters that aren't quite ready.

Fixes:

Overworld:

-Fixed values related to Zone Warp buttons so they will (hopefully) save properly

-Replaced the easily avoidable construction signs with a far more impervious door

Battle:

-Rebuilt major components of Battle system: Player queuing, Enemy queuing, Attack configuration

-Updated ground shadows for Battles and NPC Chat

-Adjusted the delay time after defeating or successfully running from a challenger/mini boss

-Updated popup display values for Player heals and Enemy damage

-All currently active healing abilities now provide popup display values

-Adjusted attack power and frequency for enemy moves

-Adjusted hitbox size of enemies to better accommodate small projectiles (such as Mic Toss or Bee Byte stingers)

-Fixed an issue where Munchies summoned by Prize Ball wouldn't appear

-Adjusted spawnrates/timing of Balloons

-Adjusted health of players to better match up with the default settings of the original

-Adjusted spawnrate of Challengers and Mini Bosses

(And made it more likely for an encounter with Billy)

Party Select and Unlocks:

-Rebuilt event structures related to skill text display

Dee Dee's Fishing Hole:

-Fixed spawn rates of fish

-Fixed issue with player having control after dropping the hook

-Fixed issue of a repeat hit upon collision with a fish

Flipside:

-Updated sprites for Freddy, Level entrances and Level exits so there isn't any improper black overlap

Removed content***:

-HE level, enemies, bosses, and Find: Coins chip

-Virus boss battles and data discs

-Possy, Tool, and Alphus

***This content has been (temporarily) removed for the sake of game balance/prioritizing the development of the core FNaF World experience.

I think that about covers it for the details.

Might do myself a solid and take a moment to breathe. Hope you all enjoy the new update!

'Till next time!

Next up

It's been a long time coming...

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.

Me: Man, I really wanted to have something released for the 10th anniversary, but I have nothing ready for it!

Clickteam: *drops trailer for Five Laps at Freddy's*

Me: *Finally remember that I still have a janky ace up my sleeve*

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

New look, new direction.

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.
