Fixes, Features and Publishing

So a few thigs have happened this week:

  • All the bugs listed in the last news post have now been fixed

  • Additionally, the game now supports Xbox 360 controllers, and has touch screen controls added (but you won’t see those on the gamejolt version, only Win8, WinPhone and Android builds)

  • I’ve done a full writeup on the development over on my site, check it out: http://pelagicreactor.com/blog/indiesvsgamers-and-trip-toes/

  • I’ll soon be publishing the game to phone stores, starting with Windows 8 and Windows Phone as soon as I finish testing, then android in the forseeable future when I can afford the developer fee.

From here on out I have 2 plans in mind. The first involves adding a multiplayer mode to the game, an area that I have no experience in. If this was to happen, it would most likely start with local multiplayer first, then networked in the future.
The second is bringing the game to Windows 10, which releases in 3 days at the time of writing. This is entirely dependent on Unity releasing an update that supports Windows 10 builds. With that in mind, I’d like to try my hand at adding full Xbox LIVE integration to the game, but to do that requires ID@Xbox membership, so I’m unsure if it will ever happen or not.

Also, I’ve changed the scoreboards to show your single best score, because SlugTeam have crushed everyone else’s score ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?
