Howdy again, everyone and welcome back to the long-awaited May 2025 Progress Report!
Yeah, we know. It’s been a while. A big while. A REALLY long while.

WHERE HAVE WE BEEN?

We want to first acknowledge the gap between this and the January progress report. Basically, our team had quite a lot of exams during January to April, however since it's hitting a door into summer, we are able to work again!

V3 Update — Confirmed Content

CONFIRMED: V3 will feature 6 songs in total:

• The FINAL song for the first week.

• Two OC Songs.

• 2 Cameos.

• and SEELKADOOM.

On top of that:
The entire UI has been overhauled. Again.

BUT, we are gonna have... ADS, so stay tune for our sponsor, XCON!

REMOVED MECHANICS (AND WHY THEY NEEDED TO DIE)

Some mechanics are cut for time. Others are cut for balance.
And then there are these:

• 🔄 Arrow keybinds change every time a bomb explodes.
  Gone.

• 👣 20-key FFFFFF difficulty.
  We don't even know what to say.

• 🎧 Volume slider was a weight scale.
  Had to manually balance rings to make the music play evenly. Don't ask.

• The game window moved when you hit a note.
  Like it literally floated around your screen. It was funny for 5 minutes.

• Boyfriend "twerk" emote when the combo counter hit 666.
  You think we’re joking. no.

• 💬 Chatty BF mode.
  He talked back after every missed note. Things like “Oops,” “My bad,” “That’s on me,”. It really pissed Mr. EXE off.

OUR ROADMAP FOR THE FUTURE.

We’re now confirming that the mod will include TWO more weeks after the FIRST CONFRONTATION arc.
These are halfly planned and partially written.
(Things are subject to change...)

V3 — THE FIRST CONFRONTATION ARC

(A.k.a. the “BF vs Obsidian Arc”)

You've seen most of this arc, it currently contains 666, FFFFFF and the THIRD SONG

Might get a revamp.

V4 — THE ACT 9 ARC

(A.k.a. the “██ vs Obsidian Arc”)

• New protagonist..!?

• BF returns...?

• Obsidian has successfully ██████ and ██████████ BF..

• It's quite perfect is it not?

V5 — THE CORRUPTION ARC

(A.k.a. the “Obsidian Games Arc”)

• I can't say anything about this.

• Fun.

• Different art style / This will not be Pixel Art.

MINION SONIC. YES, REALLY.

He lives.
Sort of.

We’re confirming here and now that Minion Sonic will appear in a future update.
While there’s a slim chance he might sneak into V3, he’s far more likely to debut in V4, so fun.

WEEK 2: INFO

Week 2 will follow the events of post-Sally.exe, And yes before anyone asks SALLY WILL be in Week 2. No speculation needed. Confirmed.

NEVER-EVERS: CONTENT THAT’S GONE FOR GOOD

Let’s set the record straight on some older concepts that will not be making it into the final BUILD, not now, not ever:

• Old Freeplay menu ^

• We decided on picking SwapFell instead of these guys, perhaps they could show up in an update IF YOU GUYS REALLY want it.

• Rejected OC's, this is how they would had appeared in the mod if they were accepted.

• Outdated Sally and Cream design.

• Scrapped Pendrive Sprites.

• Original Designs (Obsidian was planned to be Crimson)
