For everyone that is interested in the future of Drone Wars! We are going to change the look of Drone Wars. Currently we have Photorealistic textures and non textured objects. This is not a good combination. And we are a to small and too inexperienced team to support a photorealistic graphic style, and I personally don't feel like Drone Wars has its own graphic style yet, and I want to change that. So our plan for the future is to remove all photorealistic textures, and replace them with our own hand painted textures that we are soon going to create. With this combination of hand painted textures and simple color textures we will hopefully achieve some sort of cartoon graphic style. We will also create our own trees, grass and a lot of buildings and objects (an example of what the buildings will look like is the gas station that I created a few hours ago). This means there will most probably not be any updates the next months(beside maybe some bug fixes) until we have changed the look of the game. After this graphic update, we will most probably start to create an account system etc. and get the game from an Alpha to a Private Beta stage. And we will of course fix the bullet tracer effects and add the new special ability weapon.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa MarĂa Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM
