I actually think this turned out really well!
If you saw the loading screen I made for my game you will have seen this drawing too, but I had to get rid of the blue glow behind him for it. I did add it to the sides of the screen though, because the coloured glows are quite important for the lore and stuff! 
Redesigning characters will be the death of me.
And anyway, it's worse when they aren't even human or an animatronic
