The current state of the game is this.
I’ve of course spend a lot of time in some background scripting that should even make the game possible at all. Very boring stuff, but fortunately I only have to do that once.
Jake’s prologue is basically complete, although I did not yet set up the interiors of the inns and the store yet. Basic reason is that you cannot use their services during the prologue anyway. When you can visit the town again later in the game, then you can, and since that moment comes pretty late, I didn’t want the “Übergrinders” to get some of the best stuff at an early state of the game. :-P
Marrilona’s prologue is also done. Although she starts the game in the city of Frendor, you only have access to her house during the prologue, so the town itself did not yet get much attention.
A start has been made with Dandor’s prologue mission.
Much of the combat routine has also been set up, and it’s all of all fine tuning now to the situations the heroes will get themselves in. This is always the most complex part of the game. I guess @darkbloodbane should know that as he already reported tons of bugs to me in both Dyrt and Star Story regarding the combat routine (for which I’m grateful, because I can’t fix bugs I don’t know about) ;)
I am planning to make a video of Marrilona’s prologue as well, and I hope that that video will turn out better than the one of Jake’s prologue, and that I can also get the audio the work. Video software and I have never been the best of friends, but I think I can manage ;)
People waiting to download the demo I can tell this:
I cannot yet set an ETA. There are too many uncertain factors I cannot oversee in as well the game production and in my private life in general.
After the prologues, this game will have 4 chapters. The four prologues (in which you meet all 4 heroes in their own prologue) and chapter 1 (in which you’ll only meet Jake and Marrilona) will both be featured in the demo version. The other 3 chapters will be part of the full version.
Of course the demo will first count has an alpha version, so expect a lot of bugs and unfinished features in it. I must be honest ;)
Well, and this is my current status. ;)
