Good golly, it's been years since I posted. Anyway, I have bad news.
The computer that I was working the game on was busted a few years back and I lost all data for the game. Due to this, I may have to start from scratch. Sorry for not informing sooner.
Next up
So to give a bit of an update, I decided to start the project from scratch, as I wasn't satisfied with how it was before. And I figured I'd draw Wizmorf with a bit of a refresh to make the style solid. He be strollin now.~
So here's some more progress on the game. I finally got the interactables done (with tofu blocks), and next up on my to-do-list is the enemies.
It's been fun so far reworking Wizmorf, and finally have the code organized enough to work with but we'll see.
A bit of advice from me, if you're just getting into code. Comment on everything!
So I've been trying to get around the Godot engine, and so far it feels like Unity but with a bit more stuff and a few things less. Didn't expect this much from a freeware engine, but I can say I'm learning, and working on something in the meantime. >vO
Proxy Concept #1 - Worked on the first concept for the Proxy. I aimed for it to be less "inkling", maybe I did it but I dunno. What do you think?
New clip. Just got the mechanics for Wizmorf down. Now it's about making the sprites.
It's been a while since I posted any updates here, so sorry about that. But hey, I bring a new clip with progress on the sprites and stuffs. I did sprites, animated stuff, and spiced up the test stage, just so it didn't look so ugly.
Now to polish it.~
So here's another clip of the game so far, I fixed a few of the bugs in it, as well as make some adjustments to the test level.
There are still a few bugs to fix, but so far at least, I can start making levels with what I got here.
So for context, I was using a weird bootleg PS4 controller that used D-Input, and since Xinput's different from D-Input, I thought I'd be jumping with the square button rather than X.
I was wrong. o3o
So here I show more progress on Wizmorf's Tale.
I replaced the manual recharge to auto-recharge, added some effects to his spells and ground slam, and gave him some sound.
Save from a few tweaks, Wizmorf himself is done.
