
Originally players are able to Drop any Item they had in the inventory onto the floor to be pick-up for later. But as I thought about it, I saw allot of players play my original Frostbite game and most of them never used the drop-item feature. So after some thoughts I decide to remove that feature, and replace it with a Resident Evil style storage container, where players go to to store there items in when there not needed and the player needs to make room in there inventory.
Once I applied the new storage system, it also lead to some other design changes. With no Drop-Item function, there is really know reason for the player to go through an action menu to use an item, so I removed it. Once I did that, I also applied a Double-click requirement. so if a player accidentally clicks on an item in there inventory, it is not used. Do this now allows the player to have a much quicker access to using there items. Which I think is a big plus for the players who are racing against the clock.
