But if I return when I do something other than a character/number it breaks the system and I get a return of 0.
So! First take out the non-character aspects and put them somewhere else. Then figure out how to make the linebreaks outside of this since getting to the end of a line after adding a character will still break the system.
Then I can change the input text to be anything variable!

1So I spent a while remaking the title screen load code only to realise the reason it was taking so much longer than a normal island was because the file for it had all the objects in one big list instead of being broken up in to chunks

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
I wish I had more to show recently but I've been taking it easy over the holidays and what I have been working on is just optimisations which doesn't translate to gifs so well
