Team TCM | March Devlog | English
Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well. As you may already know from last week's poll, we'll be posting updates on Team TCM projects like Odyssey, Galaxy, and other independent levels related to Geometry Dash every first weekend of the month.
I should warn you that these articles will be long, so if you're really interested in the projects, I recommend reading them. Without further ado, let's get started with the news.
Geometry Dash: Odyssey
Update 2.208 caused Geode to break, so we waited for its update to fix the mod. Fortunately, progress has been relatively quick and easy, as only a few minor features stopped working.
Taking advantage of the update, we've decided to include the content that was planned for the now-defunct "Odyssey 2" update, which has now become "Galaxy." This new update includes the following content:
● A new area, "The Ogre Path," hidden in the Ogre's chamber, with 5 new levels.
● A new vehicle, the "Springbot" (only in one level).
● New icons available.
● Improved artwork for some comics.
● Optimized resources and textures.
● Bugs, crashes, and minor errors fixed.
● iOS compatibility (still in progress).
●And some new secrets...
Unfortunately, for optimization and to reduce the mod's size, an internet connection is now required to enjoy the full game experience, as the comics, music, and levels are downloaded directly from a server that requires a Wi-Fi connection to function correctly.
This update is nearing completion. We are currently in the testing and playtesting phase to polish it as much as possible so you can enjoy it as soon as possible. More news will be shared on the SwitchStep GD YouTube channel.
I'm sharing some textures and artwork included in this update.

Geometry Dash: Galaxy
Alright, moving on to the direct sequel to Odyssey, I should mention that we're still in a very early stage of development. Currently, only the game's main menu and a few basic features have been designed, as the textures are still being colored, mainly those for the maps of the 5 worlds, the game interface, and the game's characters.
As for the levels, with Mathi's departure from Team TCM, many of them are currently on hold while their decoration is being reorganized. But aside from that, most of the levels are progressing very well, and we expect to finish the first world of the game before summer.
The levels from the Creator Contest are still being improved. Underworld and Area 52 are ready for inclusion in the game, but others like Level Up, Electric Current, Magnetic, and Holy War are still being polished before being added.
The levels that are having the most problems are the platformer levels. Currently, the layout of the first level is finished, and the first half is being decorated, but no one wants or can decorate the second half. Therefore, we need people willing to decorate that final part of the level, both within and outside the team.
The second platformer level (and the largest so far) has been delayed because no progress was made in the last three months. It has been restructured and will be started from scratch in the coming months.
The third platformer level is progressing very well and aspires to be one of the best in the game so far.
The Galaxy release was originally planned in two parts, the first in summer and the second at Christmas, but due to unforeseen issues, we've decided to split it into three parts, for now.
● Summer/Autumn: Chapters 1 and 2 (Possible Beta in June)
● Winter: Chapters 3 and 4
● Spring 2027: Final Chapter
These release windows are still subject to change, and we can't guarantee release on those dates, but we're aiming to meet the deadlines.
I hope to release a new sneak peek of the game soon, showcasing more of the progress we've made over the past few months. However, there's still a long way to go before launch.

The FireBird Remake | News
This level has been on hold since Fall 2025, however, after Mathi left the team, the project has been taken over by MasterTheCube5 and ZapManiac. They are currently making some final adjustments to the level.
There is no estimated release date, but the project is no longer dead.
Frostbite | News
Like The FireBird, this level has been taken over by MasterTheCube5 and ZapManiac and is now being finished. It is unknown when it will be completed, however, it will be included as a secret level in one of the worlds of "Geometry Dash: Galaxy".
Will you be able to find it?
With nothing more to add, thank you for continuing to follow the projects. We know it's taking longer than expected, but as a team, we want to give you the very best. We are taking your feedback into account at all times, and we are paying attention to even the smallest details to ensure everything turns out as well as possible.
I hope this article has cleared up some uncertainties, and if you have any further questions, you can leave them on the Team TCM Discord server so we can answer them there or in the next monthly development update.
Thank you very much, and have a great day!
