Hey guys!
So as I promised, here is everything about the FNaF fan game: MEDIOCRE NIGHTS
I'll be going in depth about the game's story and it's mechanics, and how it would've turned into a game series had I finished this first one. So here we go!

STORY
So the story of Mediocre Nights was going to take place just before the events of FNaF 2. I'm personally a big fan of fan games that take place in the FNaF universe and tie into the original series timeline. You would play as Jeremy Fitzgerald, and the week would be simply training to be an official nightguard, but this is all stuff you know from the Gamejolt description :)
In this game, it would be explained that the Mediocre Melody animatronics were the temporary springlock costumes referenced by The Phone Guy in FNaF 3. Because Springlock suits are no longer needed, they're just being used to train. However, by Night 5, The Phone Guy in this game tells you that Fazbear Entertainment would be selling these Mediocre Melodies. The money from this sale would be used to buy new animatronics for the Pizzeria: The TOY animatronics!
Also, The Phone Guy in this game is David Miller, which FNaF fans know him better as William Afton! This would be found out through a secret in Night 4, and discovering this secret is what would unlock Night 6.

THE GAME MECHANICS
The office in this game was gonna have two doors with a giant window in front of you. There is no way to see them at the door, but the hallway light would flicker and allow you to see the animatronics in the window. Here's Nedbear!

There's also gonna be a fan that would be used to control the office's temperature and a limited amount of power.
A unique mechanic in this game was gonna be about the audio lure for the animatronics. Rather than controlling audio devices in each room like in FNaF 3, the audio source was gonna be on the animatronics themselves. Therefore, you can lure the animatronics way from your office and near each other!
The night system was gonna be just like any other FNaF game, with the exception of Night 4, which would've completely switched things up. And with that, let's talk about each night!

NIGHT 1
Night 1 was gonna be the easiest night, no doubt. The only characters active were gonna be Happy Frog and Nedbear:
Happy Frog - Incacapable of actually killing you, but will drain power from your office if she's in the room. Heating up the room has no effect, but using the audio lure keeps her away
Nedbear - The heater makes him quicker, but he's attracted to any sound. Once he enters the room, you would have a few quick seconds to lure him out of the office.

NIGHT 2
Night 2 would've introduced Mr. Hippo and PigPatch:
Mr. Hippo - He would've started in Parts & Service. He would climb through the vents and all you had to rely on was the sounds he made when traveling to your office. The only way to make him go away is to heat up the room, but this only works if he's in the vent right above the room. Once he gets in, he'll do one of two things
Sit in front of your desk to tell a story, ultimately luring other animatronics to your room to kill you.
Or just straight up kill you as soon as he pops out.
PigPatch - He's aware of when his camera is being viewed. Occasionally, he would start playing his banjo. You have to pay attention to his camera while he plays to deactivate him. If you're too slow, he leaves the room and breaks your window and kills you:

NIGHT 3
Night 3 was gonna add Orville:
He was gonna hide in the shadows in the cameras and would go out of his way to not be seen. The audio would hardly ever work, and it would be best to keep the heater on if he's anywhere near, but that attracts Nedbear. It's a balancing act.

NIGHT 4
Before Night 4 starts, Jeremy recieves an email from Dave saying that there was a gas leak in the training facility. He would tell you that you're training on this night would take place in Freddy's Pizzeria.

You would wander through the halls of the Pizzeria only to then enter the office of FNaF 2 and face off against Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy before they became extremely withered. Also, an extremely work in progress puppet would've made an apperance also!

In this version, the entire restaurant would be dark, and it would be much harder to see the characters. Also, the camera would shut off at random times and you'd have to wait for it to restart. This entire night was designed to completely torment the player!

NIGHT 5
At the start of Night 5, The Phone Guy would tell you that the gas from last night was still present, and that it might cause some possible hallucinations. And because of the torment of Night 4, Jeremy, in addition to the Mediocre Melodies, would also face off against the Demented Animatronics!(The pictures above). They would've acted kinda like the Phantoms in FNaF 3:
Bonnie & Chica - They would appear in the doorways on your left and right. Scrolling away would make them disappear.
Freddy - Would appear in the office, looking right at you. Flipping the monitor up and down would make him disappear.
Foxy - Would appear in the cameras. Clicking to a different one would make him disappear.
As for Night 6, the only thing I had planned was that you were gonna face off against a demented version of Springtrap, but I never got to how I would do it.
In addition to the main nights, there were also tasks that had to get done in between the nights!

PARTS & SERVICE
For this task, you have to listen to a story told by Mr. Hippo while fending off against animatronics in the vents to the left and right of you. You can pause the audio at anytime, since the sound attracts the other enemies, but you can only win if you listen to all of it.
FUN FACT: The story was about a Cat killing mice, and would've been an analogy for William Afton killing the 5 kids

THE PIG DEN
This task would've taken place inside PigPatch's room. TBH, I don't have a ton from this section of the game. Here's what I know for sure:
It was gonna be some kind of puzzel solving level. And only after solving all of the puzzles could you leave.
You would have to keep PigPatch from moving from his stage to you.
Your flashlight isn't enough to keep him in place, so you have to activate the stage lights, but that power is limited.

THE BASEMENT
For this level, you would have to examine/repair the air ducks from the basement. In addition to this layout screen, you would also have a camera setup in front of you:

As you work, Animatronics approach your room and would eventually appear behind you!
Behind you were two doors. No power limit, but you would only be able to close one door at a time. Fixing all of the ducts woud mean you win.
SECRETS
When you first enter Night 4, you're shown a screen that gives you some choices:
Live Cameras
Recorded Footage
Stored Files
All of these options require different 4 digit codes. Dave only gives you the code for the Live Cameras, which would start Night 4. The other codes would've been hidden throughout the game.
By accessing Recorded Footage, you would've heard William Afton speaking in a british accent talking to another employee. You would've seen images of the Glitchtrap outfit.
Stored Files would've shown little pieces of information that reference old FNaF fangame ideas that I've had as well ideas for a sequel to this game...
Wow, this thread is super long! But I'm not done yet! I'll be posting one more time to talk about everything I had in mind for Mediocre Nights 2. Stay tuned, and thank you for reading!
