The Next Step In World Domination:

Now that all the cool people came down to check the article out I wanted to announce that I'm working on a proper sequel to Riverwood which isn't going to be some small sequel like I had originally planned about a year ago, but a full sequel filled with new weapons, art, enemies and a larger and better-told story. The project has come a long way since pre-production. When I started development it was going to be a "same game new levels" kind of game and would release on steam for a few dollars, but by looking at the game I wanted more to tell in this world, I wanted to showcase some new characters, new environments and dive into the world of storytelling with this game. So to do this I started from scratch, I created a new movement system, upgraded to a newer version of unity, and sat down for weeks figuring out the story and gameplay loop I wanted to explore. In simple terms, Riverwood but 10x better is the goal going forward!

Cutting Out The Fat:

As some probably know, I released a demo of a game I was working on called Hollowborn and, it's been quite a while since anything was released or updated and I want to put the game to rest mainly due to the game being pretty challenging to make with systems I was "winging with" and overall it made the game hard to add anything to it without having to dump 10+ hours adding or fixing something that would completely break the save/load system or the Hub system I had. So all in all I decided to scrap the game but leave the demo up if people still want to play it as it's apart of my history as a game developer.

A Future So Bright I Need A Flashlight:

All jokes aside I want to start posting updates more frequently on here to keep people updated and to show off some cool stuff I'm working on. I'm hoping to start every other Saturday starting today up until the release of the Riverwood Sequel, then a break, and then start back up again for the future games I have planned out!

Until Next Time:

Well, that's all the time I've got for now but be sure to be on the lookout for the next update as I'll go into the world and some new experiences you'll make in the new game! Thanks for reading and have a great week!!!
