Now that the towns have roads, it is time to put in the houses!
There are a maximum of 6 houses per town, and (I think) a minimum of 2. I can’t figure out a way to make the fully populated road structure (i.e. a 3x3 maze) have only one dead end once you factor in the road that leaves town.
At this point, I’ve reached a crossroads. The “easy parts” of towns are done, and the easy parts of camping are done.
The next feature is one of three:
Breaking camp (taking the tent with you) [and setting it up later]
Shops (one house per town, at least ATM, and because only berries exist, all shops will sell and buy berries until I can make other items in the game)
Quests (the other houses in town, and since it is all berries all the time, the quests will be for…. berries, but at least of a particular number and a particular color
After these three features, I’m going to consider the game “content complete” for #lovejam.
But of course, that’s not the end of the story. If that were the case, we’d call it “Berry Quest” or “Berry Picking Simulator 2014”.
