Hello again,
This month's development
Focus this month has been (on the coding side) to code and finish the external program that'll make it easier for us to implement tetris-style puzzles. You can watch and follow the process of that through the videos attached to this and last month's devlog.
In addition to that I've been working on some sprite refinements, which make our game look so much better compared to before! Last but not least, we've been working a little on the story, which needs some polish to make it fit into the short DEMO format. We'll continue working on this the upcoming months, as giving you a good bitesize story for the DEMO is one of our priorities.
Artist joins the party for real this time
Next month I'll dedicate a lot more of my time to this game's development, because I've passed all of my exams and graduated.
*toot* 🎉
Before we finish a little word from our coder:
The Code Corner
It’s about code. It’s the coder segment of the devlog. REVOLUTIONARY!!!
I asked the game’s programmer (@RocketBoyweee ) what inputs he had for the devlog. Here’s what we got, quote:
“You all know of the external puzzle program I was building last month (if you don't, check out our last dev log). During this month I've been working towards finishing the external program that imports all puzzle pieces into the game which includes all of the necessary coordinates as well as the texture files which will be used to map puzzle pieces in game. Watch my time lapse video that I'm sure Alex will graciously post and you'll learn more about the program assuming you can understand my technobable gibberish talk. This month will be focused on getting the demo done for August - it's gonna be crazy. Wish me luck! xD”
You can also check out some BLOOPERS from the coding process shown these past two devlogs. There's rage, there's singing, it's all good.
That’s all for this month. Next month is:
“Even MORE DEMO development”
O K, Bye. See you all in a month again!
