Game
Hello, Neighbor! Descent Into Madness

I decided it was time to do what I've been dreading most: developing more of the Neighbor and his AI.

APPEARANCE:

I've been thinking about how I want the Neighbor to look, so instead of the eyes from the last picture, I altered the same material to make him look as exhausted as possible. I want to also edit his face to show notable signs of exhaustion such as adding dark circles as well as more defined crows feet and fine lines.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE:

He will be difficult to escape, the closer he gets, the faster he gets; the longer the chase goes on for, the madder he gets which causes him to get faster and shout swears. You cannot throw anything at him nor can you attack him in anyway; you are vulnerable if you are caught, that is your consequence for being spotted. He puts down traps like the main game and he will throw whatever he has in his inventory at you; this means he can throw banana peels which makes you slip, he'll throw beartraps, he'll even throw unconventional objects if he has no other choice. He will reset your inventory if you get caught, he could reset your progress if you get caught too often. Dying, passes time, sure; but it also progresses time which could allow him more time to reset the progress you made.

I'm starting to replace enums with Gameplay Tags as enums can be extremely unpredictable and unreliable.

Finally, volumetric clouds. Still looks like source game from 2008, but I am proud of it

Futura Bold, the original font for "Hello, Neighbor!", is under copyright; meaning the only way to get it is by purchasing a license. Instead, I will be using a alternative. Tell me what you think. Another thing, should I use the European spelling?

This explains how development is going:

Realistic eyes on these models actually look kind of eerie.
