I have a new game in development! This game is called Stick Em Up. Devlog in the article.

Welcome to the very first Stick Em Up Devlog!
You can check out the game's page Here!

So what is Stick Em Up?

Stick Em Up is a retro style RPG, inspired by Earthbound Beginnings, with visuals reminiscent of Game Boy graphics.

The story is as follows:
Many residents in your home town have been kidnapped by a mysterious malicious group. You decide you need to put a stop to this, so you set on a quest to save the captured residents. Your friend is able to provide you with your main weapon, a gun.

The visuals are mostly made by me, and the music is entirely by the legendary Dominus Maestro.

Development Progression

Now, I don't know how to calculate a game's development progress using numbers, so I have opted for an easier, and frankly more fun option. This is the official SEU Progress Bar!

The different locations in the game are symbolized using different colors. As you can see, the first location, which is your home town, is already done! The "Extra" bar below the main bar, is just to measure the additional content in the game.

When can you expect the game to be out? It's difficult to estimate a game's release time so early in development, but I'd think probably in late 2025, or 2026.

For now, enjoy some screenshots of the game!

This is the game's title screen. I didn't want to go for anything over the top, so I kept it pretty simple.

seu_battle.png

This is a battle encounter with a member of the malicious group.

This is the overworld. More specifically, this scene is the tutorial. While your gun is your weapon in battle, it can also be shot in the overworld. Shooting objects can cause environment interactions, such as breaking something, or clicking a switch.

All screenshots are subject to change.

I hope you enjoyed the first Stick Em Up devlog! If you have any questions or suggestions, leave them in the comments, and I will try to answer them. Bye!

Kirby cosplaying as some of his greatest foes!

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the only LoZ game I've played through. (I didn't even finish it.)

(I guess I'm not a big fan of LoZ gameplay. I'm more of a Turn based combat RPG guy.)

Surprise Birthday I guess!

I always forget that my Spawn Day is today, considering I didn't actually use Game Jolt until September. :P

PHONIE - Tricky Enemy (It doesn't care at all for creativity. It follows only for its own reward.)

#GJAsks: "What's Your Favorite Quote From a Video Game?"

I suppose it's got to be Sans' judgement question from Undertale. It really is an interesting question that doesn't have an easily agreed upon answer. I think yes, people can change.

Just a little piece with Kirby cosplaying as his best friends! Nothing much :P

One of my favorite Wii games is a niche hidden gem called Elebits. Imagine playing Hide n' Seek with Pikmin, but you have a Gravity Gun. That's what it's like.
