Game
Shadows Awaken

I just want to answer this because I know some of you might still think the same way.

This post is only to answer those who still thinks this is the case, which I've explained twice already. I'll explain it once more

I have been making FNaF fangames for over 9 years now. Shadows Awaken started as a FNaF fangame and stayed that way for around 4 years. During that time it went through multiple remakes, three whole full cast character redesigns, and starting the project all over again and again. And it's all done out of genuine passion for the franchise. If my goal was only to gain followers, I would not have spent years reworking the same project over and over.

I never used FNaF as a shortcut for popularity. The following came naturally because it was a fangame, yes, but the work and commitment behind it were real.

"But why not just make another project?"

As for why I did not just start a new project, it is because the ideas, themes, and identity I developed over time still belonged to Shadows Awaken. The project grew alongside me. Over time it slowly became something original on its own.

All these years making games and I've never finished a single one. I've never been satisfied with the outcome of Shadows Awaken (the FNaF one) even before it was released. The outcome was disappointing, so much that I had to silently quit game development.

I thought to myself that I've lost the spark of doing something I've always loved doing which was making games. But time away only reminded me how much I love creating games. Bringing my ideas to life and sharing my vision through this medium is something I truly care about. I realize now that a setback shouldn't be the reason to give up.

Many of my ideas were limited by FNaF. I wanted the freedom to fully explore them, to grow creatively, and to finally see a project through without abandoning it like I had done repeatedly over the past 9 years.

That is why I chose to let Shadows Awaken evolve instead of discarding it. I want to take pride in how it grew into something original over time, and also be proud that it began as a FNaF fangame. Five Nights at Freddy’s has been a huge part of my life and creative journey, and that foundation is something I respect.

Note that if you ever find this specific comment please DO NOT send hate towards this person. I get some of you might think the same way as well, but I just want to tell you all that this is not true at all..
