The Insectile Discord is now live!

I am hoping this will really be a place where I can connect to players on a more personal level leading up to the release of the demo (and eventually the full game)!

Join and say "hi"!

Working on designing an underground tile set for my indie game. Am I on the right track?

I am amazed that with all of the Peach pixel art I've seen that nobody has done a Zelda sprite yet. Anyways, here's my resprite of princess Zelda!

I'm working on cutscene features like smooth camera movements. Enjoy a snippet of this prototype tutorial!

Unlike any indie game I've done before, I have this goal with Insectile that the maps should feel "cute" even when zoomed out. At some point, I'd love to do a time lapse of me building one of these rooms :)

These might be my new favorite Insectiles in the game, movement-wise.

Pop the flowers off their back to open them up for capture!

Let me show you my favorite Insectile: the Locksnail!

In place of doors and keys in a traditional Zelda-like, Locksnails will be scattered around the world. They act as mini-bosses closing off certain areas!

I've been hard at work on level design sketches the past couple weeks. Maybe I'll post some soon so you all can peek at my process! Stay tuned :)

Working on some more enemy actions for my indie game.

Snails and other Insectiles with shells can now "take cover" which shields a portion of their body.

This is like the Tetris equivalent of a defense buff!
