I really enjoyed developing this battle. The original idea came from the first boss of "Battletoads" on the NES, where we fight from the boss's point of view.

Working on an update, here are some new effects I worked: flickering flashlight and screen shake.
Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
Springs can be very helpful... or not, depending on the context.
