The Joy of Creation: Story Mode

I need to say something important.


Hey everyone, I don’t exactly have the best news, but I don’t want to keep this hidden from you, and someone may have already guessed it anyway.

I’m having trouble with the Story Mode.

I’m working on Story Mode for a while now, and I still haven’t finished the Living Room completely. Not everyone has sent me their voices yet, and I also have school, which means I’m only 100% free in the weekends.

I don’t want to be known as the guy that cancels his games, but I don’t want to work on this game for so long, and I’m starting to lose motivation, on the other hand there are projects like TNaF:R that I’m very excited to work for because I have a lot of ideas for them, and I don’t need to wait for others to finish their work before I can progress.

So what I want to say, is that I don’t think I will be making 5 rooms with their own custom mechanics. That would take me months, and I don’t think I’d have the will and motivation to continue at that point, and the hype would just die.

I’m going to have to scrap some features in TJoC:R, maybe even some of the cutsenes and the multiple endings.

I’m sorry, but I’m only doing this so that I won’t have to cancel the game, and at least deliver something that can be played.

Now, I’m going to get some hate for this, and I understand why, but I can’t just keep this a secret.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
