Mario and Luigi: Superstar Simulator

I've been working hard to make sure this minigame is the best it can be! Read the article if you want to know how it works

Here's what you need to know about this minigame:

- Sonic starts off slow but defeating enemies and running on ramps and springs will get you the speed you need.

- The speed cap is 7 on the ground, but in the air there is so limit. You can increase your speed all you want in the air, but as soon as you land your speed will go back to 7.

- Pressing Z in the air will activate the homing attack (minus the homing). This allows you to stay in the air for a bit longer and collect things in the air that are a little out of reach.

- Ramps increase your speed by 2 and bounce you in the air depending on what your current speed is. Lower speed means lower height gained from the ramp and vice versa.

- The spring is very useful if you have 4 or lower speed. It will bounce you the highest Sonic can go no matter what speed you have and will add 1 to the speed counter. Bouncing on these at 5 or more speed will decrease your speed by 1 if you don't go through a trick ring.

- Trick rings allow you to gain speed very easily. Enter one to start a button combo and gain 2 speed. Hitting the button shown next to Sonic will give you a bit of height and make you gain 1 speed for every correct button pressed. If you hit 5 buttons successfully without going through another trick ring, your speed will go up by 5. It's recommended to go through another trick ring after you hit the 5 buttons to gain the most speed out of the combo. The combo will end once you land on the ground, where the speed will go back to 7.

- Enemies and spikes will make you lose speed. Egg pawns will make you lose 2 if you aren't jumping and spikes will decrease 3 no matter what. If you are at max speed or higher on the ground, there will be a warning for when a spike is about to spawn.

- If you go through a trick ring, sometimes a speed shoes item bubble will appear on the top of the screen. Doing a trick combo quick enough added with the higher buttons (A and S buttons make you go higher in a combo) and touching the speed shoes will activate them. Your speed will steadily increase no matter what, even on the ground until the speed shoes theme ends. You can keep that speed on the ground and in the air as long as you don't land.

I'm looking forward to sharing even more of what I've been making. Stay tuned!

Gonna be trying out a new damage output equation in a future update, much more complex than what there is now and it'll make battles much more interesting

The first two player battle is here!!! I finally figured out how to code it, and the first boss fight to celebrate is quite the unorthodox one. Iconic duo vs iconic duo. Enjoy, and thank you for this wonderful milestone!

Through some quick testing, I can confirm that Superstar Simulator works perfectly on Steam Deck! All you need to do is add the EXE file to your Steam Library, set the launch option to Proton, and set your controls to keyboard and touch screen!

What's really funny about the poll is that Sonic was the least voted for. I bet you changed your mind now XD (Work in progress)

Here's a work in progress of Mr. L's third attack: his signature super jump! There's 2 parts to it, the first being the aiming of where you land and then charging up the power. With spiky enemies like Basilisx here, you'll have to intentionally miss

I reached 2000 subscribers on Youtube, so to celebrate, the special video will break a long running code barrier I've had
