NORMENHILL Chapter 1 "Your New Look" Act I

I want to tell you something

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything completely new about the game, but I'm having some serious studying difficulties that I want to overcome, and then I'll continue developing the game at the same pace and posting more about it (I really hope so). In any case, I'll make a big post on December 19th dedicated to Normenhill Chapter 1 Act I 1st anniversary.

For now, I want to share a small thing I realized last week and described in my Russian Telegram channel. As I said earlier, I've been holding off on releasing it here for a long time, but now I've finally done it. I realized that perhaps it's time for me to become more open to audiences, both Russian-speaking and international.

In short, it all started when I decided to share one of my friends' local game-related memes in a Russian Telegram chat I've been using for a while. A guy with a really funny voice recited it in his signature style. And at that moment, I realized I had to post it in the game's channel, just like the image of the meme itself. Then I asked my Russian-speaking subscribers if they wanted to check out other local memes my friends and I had made over the years, and they voted "Yup," after which I posted many of them, along with a couple of regular posts I'd saved with comments from friends. Some time later, I'll post them here with translations, and maybe even on Bluesky, and then I'll even post other memes of ours that I find later. (I'll warn you right away that some of them contain a small amount of Russian swearing that doesn't need translation, as well as random crap that doesn't make much sense even in Russian.)

DON'T ASK ME WTF IS THAT PLEAS

I've never thought I'm gonna be making shitposts here

But you have no idea how glad I am to live with this guy at the same period of time

But what's the main point? I've always found it strange when game-related memes appear on the creator's official blog. Well, at least I've never seen anything like that. Usually, they're always made by fans and posted somewhere on their own socials, but here the memes were made by fans, and they were posted on the creator's channel. The game itself. Although I've heard that some developers promote their games using memes (maybe I should do the same, but using some different memes).

And perhaps, in addition to the main game-related posts and memes, I'll occasionally post more unrelated stuff, like something from my life. But generally, I'm the kind of person who prefers not to make big announcements or share anything about myself directly with everyone, especially since not everyone cares about it. I've always preferred to express myself through my art, and if someone liked it and wants to talk to me and learn more, I can share something. In short, I appear rather quiet and reserved, and if I'm loud at all, it's only at Rock Festivals, certain videos, or streams (Russian-speaking audiences probably remember the wild stuff I did on my old streams).

But if necessary, I'll try to be more open to the audience. You'll be able to better understand my weird, chilled, and sometimes hilarious image of a young Russian basement indie developer.

You've all had the opportunity to ask me anything in the comments here or engage in a full-fledged conversation there, so please take advantage of it. I'll try to answer you. It doesn't matter if it's related to the game, me, or anything else.

Perhaps at some point tomorrow I'll upload those memes here with translations and perhaps some explanation of their backstory, if they don't make much sense. And if not tomorrow, then another day, and again, as best I can, I'll post something else. And if you'd like, I can respond to your suggested topic with a full-length post.
