It occurred to me that I haven't really said much about Outcasts and its story. I've just kinda stated that it's a game and left it at that, so here's a bit of a prologue to set the stage for the game:

You play as Kyle, a boy who lived a rather normal life, wasn't super popular, but had good, kind parents and two close friends named Gabriel and Violet.

One day, Violet came to Kyle, looking like she had something extremely important to say. She told Kyle that the world he's lived in his whole life, and everyone born in it, is fake, and part of a project lead by a large group of people who call themselves the Anarchis.

Kyle reacted how most would, thinking that Violet was either messing with him, or crazy, but there was no humor or deception in the way she was acting. She seemed to strongly believe in what she was saying. Kyle tries to forget about it and get on with his day, but he can't seem to get the strange interaction out of his head.

Later, Kyle comes back home from school in the afternoon, still concerned about what he'd been told, and decides it wouldn't hurt to tell his father about the insane stuff his friend had told him, so he told him. However, his father doesn't respond in any way Kyle would expect him to.

All of this stuff about the world being fake is starting to seem a little less crazy.

No spoilers past that point, but to tell you a bit about the Superior World, where your journey really begins, it's a strange world full of new and dangerous creatures, where the people have superpowers and are currently caught in a big conflict between the Anarchis and a faction called the Council.

Kyle's friends plan to end the war by defeating both factions and uniting them once more as the Alliance. Kyle's own abilities, being part of the Anarchis' "Outcast Project", are crucial to triumph against such formidable foes.

Thanks for reading all that, if you made it all the way down here. Please consider checking out the game page. Thank you to the few who already follow the page and who have stopped and checked out the devlogs.

If I were to throw out a number, I'd say the game is about 40% done, so there's still lots to be done, but I hope to release the game in 2025. I know the story seems like a mess, but please bear with me as I try to make this flow well. I'm not nearly as good a storyteller as @Error989 , and it's hard to replicate his vision of the game.

Thanks again for taking the time to read through this.

Forgot to make this a devlog. Here's a link to the game. https://gamejolt.com/games/outcastsgame/840749

Chat I built it.

My profile's been embarrassingly dead recently, so here's a really short clip from a RecRoom Backrooms game with @TheMuffinMan343 and @LegendaryPro292 (also my game was really broken while recording for some reason).

Yesterday marked two years since the original Outcasts demo released.

That's a really sad announcement to make, but don't worry. It only gets worse from here.

ME. I have the coolest mask in gaming.

A close second would probably be Sammy Lawrence from the Bendy series, though.

Tried adding some more light because the eyes seemed too bright for the environment.

Too much?

This week's #GXNailArt Fan Art Friday celebrates Arcane and League of Legends!

Accept the quest in your quest log to get started.

Cover for a short book I'm trying to do.
