I’ve been going at this for a long time, but it’s finally ready to hit Gamejolt with a light tap. (Well, it will do unless I get my head in the game and start speaking about it!) Here’s what Shadow Freddy Simulator 2 has to bring to the table…
Dual campaign mechanic: But not in the way you think! The way it works is that there’s two main characters you need to take care of: series protagonist Shadow Freddy (and his ultra OP weapon) and semi-new character Shadow Flandre (and the pixels that survived the impact of the Magic Wand tool), each with slightly different motivations and goals. By recruiting party members for one character, you end up preventing the other from getting that party member. However, you can freely alternate between the two parties, so one party can end up providing for the other. (A trick I used during the final playtest.)
Multiple endings: By making use of a half-implemented choice system you end up deciding who gets the last laugh in the finale.
“Dual” gameplay: Shadow Freddy and Shadow Flandre have slightly different play styles, so choose the one that suits you in each situation. Shadow Freddy’s gameplay is your standard Five Nights at censored ripoff-style agenda, where you use your tokens to buy skills and parts to improve your battle ability to engage the villian at the end. Shadow Flandre’s gameplay meanwhile is a bit different. When playing as her, you mostly focus on your skills and the skills you recieve and lose when switching between packs of spell cards. Shadow Flandre can’t buy armour, so your efforts to improve her stats will mostly revolve around stat boosts that only she can buy. (although they can be applied to any other party members if you wish)
That’s about it. Well, at least it’s as far as I can go without accidentally spoiling all of the plot.
