It's hard choosing battles for Bowser, but one thing is for certain that Dark Bowser will be one of them. His attacks will be similar to the original game but not spot on (the final phase won't be added, that would be hard to make). Details in the article


Dark Bowser will be Bowser's second to last battle (probably not the second to last made, just on the enemy select screen) and will have very powerful attacks with really fun patterns to dodge. The first picture shows Dark Bowser pointing. He'll spawn enemies that run towards you, including dark goombas and thwomps. Just like the original game, you will have to duck and punch through them. The second picture has him spinning in a spike ball. He will attempt to roll at you forwards and you can punch him away. The second part of the move has him jumping in the same spike ball and lunging at you up top. You can have him bounce back by ducking and he'll land in front of you. You'll have a few frames of opportunity to punch him backwards before he runs back to his spot. The last picture is of his second and last phase, where he turns into a giant. The picture has him throwing something, but I'll improvise it and make it a slam move. He'll walk in front of you and charge it up. If you don't duck in time, he'll slam you three times before walking back to his spot. I'll try to make this battle as epic and fun as possible. These posts really help me think of ideas on the fly and record them to remember later. Cya next time!

Fun fact: I was considering removing Bowser from the game entirely due to his development going nowhere, but when I found a way better spritesheet of him, I decided to revamp him and finally add his fire attack. That was a great decision on my part
