In this year (and recent) alto of our favourite creators of childhood creators have started planning to ultimately retire or just retire but make small bits, Matpat back in game theory, he’s retiring in March 9, Tom Scott, who’s not retiring but slowing down a LOT, PewDiePie retiree because of his newborn son, DanTDM stopped a lot of his content so he could have more time with his sons (the pandemic did not help.) EVEN CAPTAINSPAEKLEZ! Some people are considering retirement, some game developers can’t handle it anymore of have loss of motivation. It’s honestly saddening, and just now seeing Kazotsky of all people being sad and being honest about lack of motivation and having to use the money for other things on his life, it’s SAD. Seeing people you have met, and had good times with leaving people giving up on making other games that they wish to make but just can’t. It just, saddens me. Being an 18-year old who is just now going off go college and seeing all these people retire makes me truly sad, so let us honour these valuable creators for who they are and what they have accomplished.
