Hey there.
It’s already week number 9 actually according to our academic calendar. Though it’s only been 7 classes as I postponed about 2 classes due to holidays.
So I’ll need an extra 2 weeks of lessons to be squeezed in somewhere. There’s a total of 14 weeks of class and I still need to construct their final assignments.
I only finished constructing their final exam questions and solution last week. It was a bit last minute because I was preoccupied with my own game that I’m developing. It took me some time as well because I wanted to consider the level of our current students. Initially, I wanted to just take last years questions and just recycle them, but then I realized that some of the questions, I haven’t actually planned to teach them this semester. So, I wanted to make sure it was challenging but considerable do-able relating with the things that they have actually learned in this semester.
Hopefully what I’ve done is just nice.
For now, I’ve thought these guys basic unity programming, from translating, interaction, colliders, triggers, coroutines and stuff.
Thinking of teaching more about adjusting variables, UI’s and Raycast. I really want to touch on Navmesh but I’m just worried some of them might not get it. I have like at least 2 students who are really noobs on programming. They’re not the same with the other students as they have some background on using Unity last semester. So that has been affecting my teaching plans overall.
So here’s to the rest of the semester. Hopefully, they can cope. And hopefully, I can teach better. I really need to make sure that these guys are ready for a more intermediate level of programming by next semester.
Next week it’ll probably be about raycasting and affecting variables through the use of UI.
I’ll post more tutorial videos if I have the time.
Laters.
