June Devlog!


Welcome to the very first Deltarune: Last Night devlog!!

Hi! It's Wisdom! I'm planning to include a tiny little doodle every one of these devlogs. I think it's fitting that our very first devlog is coming out in pride month... so I wanted to commemorate that.

Anyways, I want to start this off by saying thank you for following along in the project! Stick around for a SECRET, EXCLUSIVE screenshot of the game!

Little word from Wisdom: This is the first game I've ever made, and the support from my friends who both are interested in the project & are helping me create the game itself means the world to me!! That being said, because of that this is the first devlog I've ever had to write, so we're going on this journey... together...

Onto the general progress!

GENERAL PROGRESS

Here's an overview on some things we've been working on:

  • Finished the textbox's UI for the game. We're still working on revamping the way the menus look, so it isn't just Ren'pys default menus.

  • The entirety of Scene 1 has been written and implemented into the game.

  • All the sprites for Scene 1 are done and implemented into the game.

  • The general outline of the game is finished.

  • All text blips have been implemented into the game.

  • Work's begun on future character sprites & CGs.

  • Work's begun on one of the final tracks of the game.

  • Work's begun on the main menu theme.

A general overview: Almost the entirety of Scene 1 is finished, save for two backgrounds along with the BG music for the scene.

Now, this isn't the exclusive SNEAK PEEK but I also wanted to show off some character sprites. Don't click if you'd like to be kept in the dark about it!!

That's about all I have to show for general progress. Things've been kind of slow the past few months because I & the others on the team have been busy with other projects, but rest assured we're planning to get a lot more done over the next few months!! Soon we're going to begin writing more scenes as well as continuing to create

Sorry this devlog was so short- or long? Like I said, I haven't really written one before and I don't know the proper standard for these sorts of things. Anyways, thanks a lot for reading! We're planning to do monthly devlogs updating on our general progress, & hopefully for the next one we'll have more things to show you. I hope you stick around for them!!

Oh, and next month we're planning to do a FAQ, so if there's any questions you have about the game that you want answered, feel free to leave them in the replies and we might get around to them next devlog!
