FNAF Puppet Show, Fazbear Isles and Lost One Found V4 have all been cancelled. This also sadly includes one of my nearly finished The Desolate Hope fangame, The Desolate Chamber and an unannounced FNaF style fangame.
All were cancelled for similar reasons. Some where very ambutious projects for me to handle, some had really outdated code that made working on the game a greater hassle and... Much more.
Puppet Show was cancelled due to great ambition and messy code. I have implemented all the main game mechanics and a few sounds here and there, but the real drag was the story. I added a dialogue system that was built terribly and was used on one character to exposition dump on the player. I wanted to create a heartfelt story of how a person doesn't need to be and probably shouldn't be forgiven due to their severe actions. This was a major roadblock and I deem the game cancelled. I might release something that takes bits from the game to create something smaller and gameplay focused, but who knows.
Fazbear Isles was doomed ever since conception. One person creating a big RPG game, even at a fraction of its planned size is a game dev's death sentence. For Scott it... Kinda worked, but not every developer can churn out mechanics and games at his pace. RPGs are hellish to code. You have so many values that change and interact with one another and functions that work BUT in a specific situation they break. I rewrote battle actions of enemies and fighters A LOT. This was my dream game to make, but I think it's best for me to leave it and accept the fact I'll be another one of those devs that wanted to make a FNAF World fangame and failed.
Lost One Found V4 has one obvious issue: code. It's VERY messy and hard to update. I did try recoding the game from scratch, but I thought at thst point it's better to work on other stuff than it ðŸ˜
