I finally got some sound recording software (BFXR), so today’s game has sounds. Sadly, I didn’t make said sounds within the allotted hour; instead, I used the ones I made yesterday (which, not being used to making sounds, got a headache while doing so). In the future though, when I get the hang of the program, I should be able to start making them within the allotted time.

Anyway, today’s game continues the trend of difficulty with you playing as a ship from a scrolling shooter stuck in an arena shooter. Enemies, literally do not come from the direction you are firing in, but every other one instead; you have to use your ship to the best of its abilites and take down as many enemies as you can before you die.

A Basic Platformer I’m taking back what I said yesterday, and am dedicating the rest of this week to making platformers. Today’s went very well. I was able to add in a shooting mechanic, destructible boxes, a life system, and an automatic door.

Heartless I decided to leave out the sprite for jumping today. Instead, I focused my time on adding in two different weapons (a rifle and a rocket launcher), and some destrucible terrain.

Blue and Green Today’s game is rather difficult to explain. On one hand it is an arena shooter; on the other hand, it has small traces of yesterdays game in it. It can also be a one-player or two-player game. Anyway, heres a screenshot.

The Twenty-second Day

Terminal Today’s game is a point and click called Terminal. You explore the floating city of terminal from its warehouse to its hangars while learning about its inhabitants and how they treat you.

Lost Mage Today’s game is Lost Mage. You wander around as a lost mage, pick up articulate mage staffs, and notice vague references to previous games.

No More Shops! Today’s game is a, finally, working shop menu. You switch between buying and selling a very small collection of items, (potions, ethers, and somas) and because I had extra time, I was able to add some sounds.

Fight! I was able to make a two player game today. Fight! has you commandeering either the red or green ship, and then blasting your foe to bits. Also, as of today, this project is twenty-percent complete.

World Map 2 This is probably more a map of places than an actual world map. Anyway, the game is called Liabus; you scroll through the four places that occupy the land of liabus, and read a short description on each of them.

We are under attack!
