Linux support and a sneak preview!

If you’re a Steam player, this update will mean a lot to you because the Steam version now supports Steam achievements!

It also adds LINUX SUPPORT for those intrepid Linux users out there.

I also removed the dummied-out Facebook and Kongregate integration, because the game is no longer available on Kongregate and no one ever used Facebook integration.

What’s that, GameJolt players? Bummed this update doesn’t add any features to your favorite game platform? Well, to sweeten the deal, here’s the very first look at the next game in the series, Carnage in Space: Crucible.

It’s not much, but it’s proof I’m working on it.

Besides a new and improved look for Nightmare (and better graphics in general), Crucible will feature:

  • 3 playable characters!

  • Branching storylines!

  • A deeper plot!

  • More humor!

  • And SO much more!

Be sure to follow me and/or Ignition so you’ll be the first to know when Crucible eventually gets its very own Devlog here on GameJolt.

Stay tuned, and HUZZAH!

UNLEASH THE BEAST.

This is Tuhrahkkkii's final alternate weapon, the Beam Claws. These emphasize quick burst damage and hit-and-run tactics. They also pair nicely with the Grappling Hook, but I was too busy kicking fools here to show that off.

Dude, why are you red? It's not a good look on you!

Yesterday I implemented a new build method for the game that reduces the download size by 75%! Wow!

But that's not particularly exciting to look at, so enjoy this new shop artwork for the Sawblade Boomering as well.

And here's the shop animation for last week's new flail weapon.

Its jump attack hits a wide area, making it perfect for swatting flying enemies!

IT'S HAPPENING.

The sequel to Ignition, Carnage in Space: Crucible, is releasing (in Early Access) on GameJolt and Steam on 6/9/23!

On today's episode of Pixel Art Fundamentals: That is Not What the Sun Looks Like!

Yeah, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I shaded the old version. The new one looks more like an actual light source.

Aaaaand, we're back! Development on phase 3 (the final phase!) has begun, with Kodon's last weapon: The Beam Flail!

This is a clumsy but powerful weapon. It has a very long reach and hits hard, but it's not fast. Use it on enemies too close for your gun!

Did I ever tell you that this game is actually fully rendered in 3D???

...Well, it isn't. Anyway, perspective is hard but I managed to get this new shop image drawn up.

Mmm, toasty.

Egads! MORE of them? How many robot lizards does one game even need?!
