Hello again,
Community Engagement?
This month I posted two polls in relation to how we could engage more with you all that are interested in the game. Unfortunately, we only got one reply. This is not enough feedback to base our future actions off of.
Looking back at it, the lack of feedback does make sense. We only post devlogs every month or so, and our talk about the game's inner content is quite 'hush-hush'. There isn't a lot of content to consume, thereby the engagement can't be very high.
I thought that asking you directly through a poll was the first logical step towards more interaction. Ultimately, I was wrong (Sorry about that ).
What's missing is content. Something more than just a shiny gamepage and text-devlogs. We'll try out different types of content in the upcoming weeks...
(Thanks to the one person who voted, btw! Shout out to whoever you are!)
August Development
August was a slower month, as expected. We did make some stuff, though:
Brainstormed some ideas for additional community content. Looking forward to trying them out
Recolored the interaction-menu (new textures)
I got sidetracked and made some music tracks for the game. They turned out pretty well. I think. Special thanks to my bro for helping me out.
Currently I'm working on making loads of props for the various rooms in the cabin (the game's first level). Not all of them will make the cut, but we'll probably have enough xD. Just look at the amount of teacups! We only need two.
While doing that I've polished out textures once again. It's amazing that I keep finding things to adjust!
I'll now leave the word to PCP's coder:
The Code Corner
It’s about code. It’s the coder segment of the devlog. REVOLUTIONARY!!!
I asked the game’s programmer (@RocketBoyweee ) what inputs he had for the devlog. Here’s what we got, quote:
“During this month I've done a lot of programming for sound development, which includes implementing many soundtracks our artist has made! I've also fixed some glitches in the game and I've polished up a lot of the demo level for the release in December. I wanted to show off some gameplay footage to you beautiful people but unfortunately we've suffered from a major bug in our database system and it's going to take some time to fix things again and get everything up and running.”
A bit of a bummer that we ended the month on a major bug, but hey, there was quite a bit of progress in the small-but-important-things department! Nice.
That's all for this month.
