July Development
Overall, this month has been about fleshing out exploration of the cabin level (coding wise), this includes working on:
Polishing up the Worldbuilding Papers
If you saw our last devlog you would have seen that we've added in notes which further aid in explaining the the storyline in our game - We've added a translation option which gives the player a chance to read them clearly without deciphering.Adding a lot more scenery comments
When players explore and interact with our levels they'll be able to learn a lot more about the world we've created for them - these comments appear when the player interacts with objects that may (or may not) help them progress.Helina is more lively!
We added a small feature, where Helina changes to a few selected facial expressions when you're not talking to her.More bugfixing (of course)
Tiny segment for the next level
Artist: Apart from a small icon I had to make for the cabin, I've been working on a background, fictionally located at the top of the stairs we showed last devlog.
I've made a first draft, and have decided to redo it. Wasn't too happy with the placement and the look of the trees.
